Charles Rieger has a long history with Garrison Brothers Distillery. When the distillery first opened, he joined the team as a financial manager and set up all future long-term fiscal forecasts. He retired from the company after ten years, and now works as a full-time board member for Good Bourbon for a Good Cause.
Donnis was raised by a bourbon-loving military family in Marblehead, Ohio. Growing up, he was told secrets of distilling bourbon by his grandfather, fueling his passion at an early age. After serving 10 years in the United States Air Force, he moved to Stonewall, Texas to raise his son, Calvin. It was there he got involved with Dan Garrison’s mission to become Texas’ first legal whiskey distillery, eventually becoming Texas’ first Master Distiller of bourbon whiskey.
A born and raised Southerner, Hope has been working for Garrison Brothers Distillery for more than a decade. She was promoted to Dan Garrison’s Executive Assistant in 2014, in turn making her the glue that holds the distillery together.

Nancy Garrison is a native Austinite and fifth-generation Texan. She was President of her family’s Scarborough retail company for 15 years before the business closed in 2009, which led her to become more involved in Garrison brothers Distillery, which she and her husband, Dan, founded in 2006. Nancy co-founded not only Good Bourbon for a Good Cause but also The Trail Foundation. Through the years, she has been involved in many other Austin organizations, including Ballet Austin, Women’s Symphony League, Young Entrepreneurs Organization, and the National Charity League.
Dan Garrison discovered his passion for bourbon making in 2001 after leaving behind his financially rewarding, yet unfulfilling, career in software marketing. A few years later in 2010, he sold his first bottle of Garrison Brothers Bourbon whiskey. And the rest is history. When Hurricane Harvey hit over ten years later, he led the initiative to partner with Team Rubicon to aid in the disaster relief of the tragedy. It was then that he realized just how powerful good bourbon and good people can be, and co-founded Good Bourbon for a Good Cause with his wife, Nancy. He has also founded The Trail Foundation in Austin , the Texas Distilled Spirits Association, the American Craft Spirits Association, and The Hye Appreciation Society. He enjoys going for long runs through the stunning Hill Country, sipping on great bourbon, and spending time with Nancy and their children.
